OASIS OF HOPE INTERNATIONAL maternity residence provides a safe and nurturing environment for pregnant adolescents. This group home fosters a strong sense of community and integration among its residents. Acceptance Criteria for Oasis of Hope
- The potential client must be drug and alcohol free for a least a 6-month period
- Oasis is a Christ-centered program. Participation in our faith-based programs is part of the experience and is required by all our residents
- The potential client must be between the ages of 13 and 19, any client outside these parameters will be admitted at the discretion of the Director of Oasis of Hope
- The potential client must be unmarried and not with other children in her care
- The potential client must be pregnant and will be accepted at any stage in her pregnancy
The potential client must be drug and alcohol-free for a least a 6-month period
- A young woman with a history or pattern of the following will be admitted only with careful consideration: severe emotional problems, stealing, violent behavior, or needing psychotropic medications.
- There are no geographical limitations
- Expletive (a vulgar word that will greatly upset your grandmother if you say it in her presence), foul language or obscenity will not be tolerated or condone
- We believe in treating others the way that you would like to be treated, and so repeatedly disrespectful behaviours will not be tolerated and can be reasons to be expelled from our residential program
- Oasis of Hope is a voluntary program therefore, the young lady must be willing to come and must adhere by all our rules and guidelines
